5 Fun Places to Take Instagram Photos in Vienna!

Vienna is one of the loveliest cities in the heart of Europe. The melancholic vibe and the flawless architecture give the city an amazing look and feel to it. Beside all the amazing experiences and places to visit, one has to appreciate the mare beauty of Vienna (Wien). That's why i decides to make a short list of places where you can take fun photos of this European capital and get some love on Instagram and other social media.

Vienna is one of my favorite cities in Europe and this time I went on a mission to find the best 5 places to take an awsome snap!

1. St. Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna

St. Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna

OK, this is an obvious one. But me suggestion is to try another angle. Chose the back side of the cathedral, and escape all the fuss from the million of tourists visiting Vienna. There are many nice angles from this side of the cathedral and also some convenient pillars to step on, or a fence to climb (although not recommended :D)

2. Burggarten & Schmetterlinghaus

This might be my personal favorite. The amazing Burggarten. It's a lovely park, and getting the right photo is an easy task when surrounded with buildings as amazing as those all around. One of them is the Schmetterlinghaus, which you can visit if you like butterflies (but then again, who doesn't), but also check out those amazing winged beauties from the huge windows just when passing by. Also you can check out and get a quick snap in front of the Mozart Statue in the park.

3. Vienna Rathaus

This stunning architectural wonder is next on the list. A bit underrated in the touristic guides of Vienna, but such beauty cannot be ignored. The neo-gothic City Hall is just too beautiful and also located in a place where photos can be taken from many angles and still get a good shot. Cheers to that!

4. MuseumsQuartier

The biggest museums in Vienna are located around. There are all in gorgeous buildings and amazing parks in between. What a nice way to spend an entire day, learning about Austrian culture and history and catch some amazing photos along the way. Usually crowded by tourists, but what's the point in traveling anyway. So my advice, stay social and experiment with angles.

5. Josefsdorf Wien: Panoramic View of the city

Josefsdorf Wien: Panoramic View of the city

Last, but not least, Josefdorf. Taking about views! Getting to know a city requires a good panoramic glance. Talking about Vienna, this is my winner view point. Beside taking many dramatic photos, this place is amazing for getting your morning coffee in style, just relax and breathe in some air or looking at the sunset with a glass of wine. Although this place might be underrated, it gets the deuces up from me.

Note: It's a bit further away from the city, so it's perfect to visit it with a car or by bus.

This list can go on and on, as Vienna has so many gorgeous places, but these 5 won the game for me. Love to hear your thoughts (for those who already visited) or maybe get some recommendations from you in the comment section. For my fellow travelers who are planning to visit Vienna, let me know if this post was helpful for you.

Love,

S.
